This week's edition of Throwback Thursday takes us to an Interstate highway that is slated to be no more. I-895 in the New York City borough of the Bronx is proposed to become an at-grade boulevard, with improving access points to the Hunts Point neighborhood of the Bronx. It has already been
approved by AASHTO to become NY 895 as it transitions from I-895 to NY 895. Here are some photos from December 2007 and June 2002 of the Interstate highway.
