Located at the southwest corner of Fresno Street and O Street in downtown Fresno is the 1894 Fresno Water Tower.
The Old Fresno Water Tower was commissioned by the Fresno Water Company in 1891 and was influenced by the design of the Chicago Water Tower. The Old Water Tower is 109 feet tall and has two exterior brick walls; one three feet wide while the other is only one foot wide. The Old Fresno Water Tower was used until 1963 and was renovated in 2001.
